Long Lasting Injectables

Ever wondered why some your best friend's injectables last so much longer than others? It's easier than you think, and we're here to spill the secret!

Hydration is the key to not only preserving your fillers but also helps in giving them a much softer, more natural look.

Those using a good home-care regimen (especially a vitamin C serum or powder) with well hydrated, nourished skin will often have a much better response to injectables than skin that is compromised and malnourished.

Dehydrated skin loses hyaluronic acid considerably quicker than well hydrated skin. The reason for this is that hyaluronic acid in the skin naturally attracts and absorbs water giving the skin a radiant and plump appearance. If however, hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin and the skin is dehydrated and depleted of moisture it’s function is compromised as it has no moisture to absorb.

Our last quick tip!

Make sure you know what your doctor is using and more importantly where they are injecting. It helps to do a bit of research prior so that you know exactly what you are paying for. If fillers are injected too deep they will be less effective and if they are too shallow they will expand too quickly resulting in overfilling and discoloration.

For the perfect post injectable regimen, we recommend a Vitamin C serum or powder for during the day, a day cream with hyaluronic acid and a Vitamin A rich night cream.
